Well, sometimes we all need something to gets us excited about doing. Since the half marathon was cancelled past year, I got myself in a rut. Of course I still workout, but there wasn’t that something that I could get all excited about until now.
I have entered a competition called “Buns & guns” I know, it’s for the Biceps and Buttocks. I swear before I die that I wanted to have buns of steel. Do you remember those days, I am aging myself, there was a whole series of Buns of Steel by Tamilee Webb.
This is an 8 week competition, the first place winner will win $20k. Can you believe it. 20k. They are judging on the transformation of the biceps and buns. This is a vegan meal diet. I am not even close to a vegan but hey I am willing to try. I can of course substitute which I will try the Tofu but I do have options. Thank the good Lord.
I let myself gain a little weight so that I could lose the weight. How crazy it that. I have been a lifted for like it seems forever. My lifting journey started way back, sounds funny, in the 1980’s. I do love to lift and I love the pump of lifting and the definition of the muscles that it leaves. 8 weeks is not a long time so it is going to take commitment and discipline on the eating. My husband is on board like always. He will prepare my food for me.
